Why Justin started it
After losing a loved one, Justin wished for photographs that had never been taken. Black Mango Studio grew from that regret into a way to make meaningful portraits for families, milestones, new beginnings and companionship. An imagined picture cannot bring someone back; the intention is to give a connection a place in a frame.

People must have permission to use submitted photographs, including guardian permission for children. AI-created portraits are new imagined images, not proof of real events.
