Your photographs are personal. This page explains what Black Mango Studio uses to provide your portrait and how to contact us about your information.

What information do we use?
- Account information: your member identifier, sign-in email and profile information provided through the login service.
- Portrait information: the photos you submit, selected template, optional appearance and outfit details, instructions, generated images and revision requests.
- Purchase information: order identifiers, payment status, invoice links and photo-credit records. Card information is entered with Stripe; our portrait editor does not collect card numbers.
- Service and usage information: pages visited, referral information, device/browser information, approximate location and technical logs made available by our hosting and analytics services.
- Messages: information you choose to include when contacting us.
When do photos leave your browser?
Guest preparation drafts are kept in browser storage until you clear them or continue into the account/generation flow. When you submit a generation or revision request, the relevant photos and instructions are sent to our server and OpenAI for content checks and image creation. Stored private studio images use encrypted storage and account-based access checks.
Which services are involved?
Wix provides website hosting, member accounts, data storage and site analytics. Stripe provides payment processing. OpenAI processes submitted content for safety checks and image generation. Those providers may process data in countries other than your own.
How long can I access my portraits?
Portraits are available through My Studio for 30 days. Download the versions you want to keep. The end of this access period is not a guarantee that all stored copies or provider backups have been physically deleted. Account, order, support and operational records can remain after portrait access expires. To request deletion or ask about a particular record, contact justin@blackmangostudio.com.
What about cookies and analytics?
Login and site operation use cookies or similar browser storage. Wix may provide site analytics and consent controls. To improve which looks we show first, we count anonymous browsing activity (looks shown, clicked or opened, photos added in the editor and portraits created) with a random visitor ID stored in a first-party cookie. It is not linked to your name or account and is kept as daily totals. Looks you recently viewed are remembered only in your browser, to show them again on the homepage. Where the site displays cookie preferences, you can use them to manage the available choices. You can also clear local drafts and browser storage on your device.
Photos of other people and children
Only submit photographs you have permission to use, including permission from a parent or guardian when a child is pictured. Reference images can reveal sensitive personal details; avoid including unnecessary documents, private information or unrelated people.
How can I ask about my information?
Email justin@blackmangostudio.com to ask about access, correction or deletion, or to raise a privacy concern. We may need information to verify the account before acting on a request. Some records may need to be retained for payment disputes, fraud prevention or legal obligations. Rights and applicable exceptions depend on your location.
