Plan for the places your photo will appear

A website biography, listing brochure and small sign do not use the same crop. Ask your designer or brokerage for their required proportions before choosing a portrait. A full-length direction gives more clothing and posture information; a tighter headshot remains clearer in a small avatar.

Approachable should still look like you

Use an expression you would bring to a first client meeting. Avoid choosing luxury props or dramatic office scenery that could misrepresent your actual working environment. Clothing can be polished without becoming a costume.

• Check the portrait against your current hairstyle and glasses.
• Keep background details quiet enough for your name and brokerage layout.
• Leave room for a designer’s final crop.
• Review any branding or advertising requirements with your brokerage.

What the studio can and cannot provide

Black Mango creates the digital portrait. It does not verify licences, add approved brokerage marks or guarantee that a marketing layout meets local requirements. Add accurate text and branding in your design workflow.

Prepare your source photo, choose a wardrobe direction and review the generated face, posture and hands. If the final use is a large print, inspect the downloaded image at the intended scale before ordering production.
