Choose the feeling before the occasion

An engagement announcement, anniversary keepsake and everyday portrait can call for different levels of formality. Choose whether you want quiet closeness, a relaxed city moment or a more dressed-up celebration. You do not need to make the portrait look like a wedding if that is not your story.

Two clear references, two distinct people

Add one clear photo for each person. Avoid using a shared image where one face is tiny, turned away or hidden behind the other. Keep supporting photos attached to the correct person, especially when you have similar hair or clothing.

Use imagined scenes thoughtfully
